Racing Career

For 2022 James will race British Superbikes and No Limits.

Successes

2014 was James’ most successful year to date! Competing primarily in the Televised National Minimoto Road Racing Championship, James dominated the GP70 category. He won by 374 points, despite missing the first two rounds. In the same race series James also won the Junior Production class by 33 points. James also competed in half of the Scottish Championship, finishing runner up in the Lightweight Production class, third in the Junior C class and fifth in the Open class.

In 2013 took his first Championship wins in the Scottish Championship finishing on the top spot in the Junior C category, the Lightweight Production class and second in the Open Championship. The youngster also finished seventh in the FAB-Racing Lightweight Production Championship having only contested four rounds.

James finished the 2012 season with solid results under his belt. In the Scottish Minimoto Championship the youngster finished second in the Junior C class, second in the Lightweight Production class and fifth in the Open class. In the FAB-Racing British Minimoto championship James finished sixth in the Junior Production class.

In 2011 he tackled the Scottish Championship for a second season, riding in the Junior C and Featherweight Production classes. Scoring numerous podiums he ended the season in third and second places respectively.
He also took part in a number of Winter Endurance races with McIntosh Mini Bikes, giving him valuable experience of being part of a team.

In 2010 he made his Scottish Championship debut, finishing the year fourth in the Junior A class and being named Best Newcomer. It was a strong year for the youngster, and by the end of the season he was running up at the front.
